Tension
To allow the pile to rise (fluffiness), it is most important that a loose tension is used.
Haze
Although the yarn looks to be equivalent to a 4 ply, it MUST be knitted to Double Knitting patterns - namely - 5sts per inch ( 20 sts per 10cms.). Usually 4 or 4.5 mm or old 8's or 7's. Any tighter than this and the knitting will felt on wearing.
Cobweb
any 3ply patterns - 7sts per inch (28sts per 10cms.). Usually 3mm or old 11's.
Washing
DO NOT wash your garments in a washing machine. Wash your garments by hand, rinse twice, and then use the washing machine on a spin only cycle. Pat into shape on a flat surface, and dry flat if possible.
Felting
Angora fibre is used to make the best quality felt hats, and under certain conditions, felting will occur. These are moisture, warmth and pressure. Do not pick a style with tight fit armholes. Do not wear your garment under a windcheater, cagoule ect. it would be too hot anyway. The soles of socks will felt, but this will enhance their insulation properties, so knit your socks slightly larger than your usual size as felting is accompanied with shrinkage.
Dyeing
Some very slight variation may occur as the yarn is hand dyed. Please order sufficient yarn to complete your garment, as repeat lots cannot be guaranteed.
